October's prompt is Hansel & Gretel with the colour grey. I had nothing, though, so I picked out the last of my freebies, Cinderella

This is based more on the French version of the tale, as it is the less religious of the well-known western varieties. ^.^" (Sadly, that means it's lacking the 'eyeballs poked out by doves' and 'self-mutilation so the shoe would fit' that everyone likes to bring up as proof that fairy tales aren't really for kids. XD )
Of note, I've removed the shoe from the equation. Because it's a plot device that's never made sense to me. (Seriously, you're going to find your future wife based on her shoe size? And using a shoe that could break if you drop it? I just...) Also twisted some other things. Should be fun.
Uhm, Odin ends up being a bit OoC in a super violent way, but he's human and has...issues. (Sooooooo many issues.)

July's prompt was Nightingale with the colour blue, but Beauty and the Beast was one of my freebies, and the colour blue matched wonderfully.

Bri gave me a prompt for Tom accepting Jötunn!Loki, so I'm saying this fulfils that prompt. ;P

Bit of a complicated play on the original fairy tale, drawing inspiration from various adaptations and, very vaguely, Marvel canon.
For your figuring, in this fic, Tom is fifteen, Sarah seventeen, and Emma ten. So, by modern standards, Tom would be a bit young to enter into a relationship with Loki – who is much, much older – but in the time period this fic is vaguely set in, he would be old enough. (And, really, Sarah should probably have been married off already.)

I'll be out of town and with questionable internet access all of next week, so you're getting this month's fic a....well, more than a couple days... Early, at any rate. Enjoy the treat. (And don't expect it to happen again. XD )

June's prompt is The Red Shoes with the colour white.

My original knowledge of this fairy tale was far less religious – and quite a bit less bloody – than the original, and the shoes weren't, necessarily, red. But they were shoes that danced the wearer to death.
I debated for a bit on the amount of religion I wanted, and how close to which version of the tale I wanted to go. And then it was almost the end of the month and I was stuck trying to write in a cramped curl at the coffee table, so this is what came out. Sorry in advance?
