Xerosis Chapter Seven

Sorry. Meant to post this earlier, but Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is mind-bogglingly distracting, and I've only just gotten it, so... *shifty eyes*

Neeways, the bottom line is, I've got about 3,000 words written for chapter seven, which is not enough by the standards I've set for this fic, so it won't be updated this week. Next week, yes, even if I have to give tsuki_no_suzu my PSP and have her tie me to my desk chair, you will get a chapter. Honest.

Right. I have to get up early tomorrow – okay, early by my standards – so I'm off to bed. I'll see some of you loonies on Monday for Fallen Night, but otherwise, see everyone next Thursday?

on monday. at 16:30 my time. i go by bus from leipzig to iasi. i'll arrive there on wednesday somewhere around half past seven.

the internetpage from the student accomodations said that the acess to the internet will be possible without any logins or some such things. i hope it is that way.

thanks. i hope so as well. at least i have my new e-book reader and a summer reading list i made myself that has about a hundred titles. a huge number of them are on the reader already.

*pouts a bit* I agree though, that quality and length is DEFINITELY worth waiting for.

I'm just a little sad because your updates are really the highlight in my week when it comes to fanfiction. It seems that plenty of people are updating fics I follow, but you and Shivani are the ones I most want to read usually, as the ones on ff.net I really want to read (right now) are updated really sporadically.

It doesn't help that both Shivani and I are trying to not post fics until they're completed, I suppose. At least Locus'll be going for a few more chapters? (It's, what, 12 chapters long? And she just posted 5. So, yeah! Bit more of that. ^.^")

The thing is, I would almost rather some authors wait until they finish a story to post it, because golly gosh, the number of fics I have on new chapter alert is insane, and some of them haven't been updated in years. There are several good fics that I have no hope of ever knowing the endings of.

And now I have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for something that I KNOW will be great.

Maybe I'll send my minions out to steal every form of entertainment but your computer. Surely I have minions who would enjoy a bit of larceny.

But if my minions stole your computer, you couldn't write. I suppose I could have them steal your modem, but then you couldn't post.

And don't worry, I've got lots of authors I could start to bug about updates, it just wouldn't be the same. The only other author I follow almost exclusively on lj only has on WIP I'm drooling to see updated, and she has admitted she only works on that one when she works on that story when she's blocked. Sadness. It's just not the same to bug someone on ff.net. And I don't usually review at all on other sites cause they keep logging me out.

Probably wouldn't be able to write without internet, too, since I always end up using the Lexicon for little things. (It's that or hunting through the books, and that's usually too much trouble. Unless it's not on the Lexicon. ^.^")

Yeah... I've got this one fic that I absolutely adore on FFN, but the author only works on it sporadically, says her other fics take precedence. But I like pretty much everything she writes, so it's not so bad.

I think she's good. I'm not as in to her HP fics, since they're Harry/Sev – which I'll read, but it's not really a favourite – but I adore all her FMA stuff.
