So, I know this has always been a fic journal, but I don't feel like trying to figure out noagirl's password right now, and I did tell anotherfmafan (and other people in the 520 Day chat) that I'd try to post shit on LJ, so.

People who've been following me on tumblr and twitter for a while know, but for those who don't, I've taken to collecting FMA figurines since I got back in the fandom last summer. Two new ones arrived today (Olivier and the Riza in the middle of the pic), and they're the last I should buy for a while, because bills and Mum's giving me disapproving looks (& I also should save up for a 3DS before the new Pokémon games come out, seriously), so I decided to take a shot of all the ones I have! (Plus bonus Squall and Selphie from FF8, because that shelf's their home too.)

The littler Roy in the middle is actually kept on top of my monitor, watching me while I don't write. (Wish I had an Ed too keep with him, but all the smaller Eds are either ridic expensive, or their faces make me shudder, so...)
(And Envy's driving me nuts. They've had a leaning problem ever since I got them. :/ Had to stick their base to the glass with sticky, and they're leaning against the glass so it's hopefully a little less noticeable.)

Still desperately wishing I could find the Trading Arts Olivier, and I'll probably get the chibi May at some point (her Trading Arts figure is even harder to find than Olivier, ugh), and I kinda wanna get Lust and the Trading Arts Al, but I'm otherwise quite happy with this set. :D

That's an impressive collection you have there! I especially like Bradley, that may be the first Bradley figure I have seen.

I agree that all Roys needs an Ed. Come on, figure company, you are cramping our fangirl style.
And I need a Roy for atop my computer.

Also, I am pretending that FF8 Lady is Lyra. XD

LOL You can if you want? It's friends-locked, and I'm not sure I remember the password, which is why I never mentioned it in chat. (Actually, now I think of it, I'm pretty sure the email it was attached to is gone. I should probably try and log in just to change that at some point. Hrm.)

XD I may just be too picky about my Eds. It's always, either I don't like his face, or the alchemy effects are dumb, or his automail is just...not quite right. And, you know, I don't usually have USD100+ to spend on a single Ed. So that one that was part of the Trading Arts set (with Scar, Ling, Winry, & Bradley) is the only one I have. There is a figure set I've thought about a few times, that has two Eds, and Al with a kitty (I've actually seen it, a few times, with two apparently identical Als with kitty), and another Ling, and a Roy. Amazon's got a copy that's not too prohibitively expensive, so I might have to give in next week, after I get paid. It'll only sort of help with the imbalance, though. XD
(That said, I found a copy of the set with Olivier that I've been trying to get for months now that's kinda on the outside edge of what I'm willing to spend to get her, so I might just do that, instead. This set with the two Eds is about ten times easier to find at a reasonable price than Olivier at any price, so... ^^; )

XD Lyra with nunchaku and wearing a ridiculously short skirt. I just...need to laugh at that mental image for a bit, don't mind me.

Ah~ There's actually two Bradleys that size. (There's also a couple of the chibi ball machine-size, too, I've seen.) The one I've got is from the Brotherhood Trading Arts set, but there's one from the '03 set, too, wearing the outfit from the Devil's Nest.

(That set you could also get in the all silver version, which was one of those weird fads that I'm glad seems to be over. ^^; But, I guess that means there's actually 3 of him for this size.)

Ed is easy to be picky about, though, especially with some of those faces. Eughh. And for that kind of price, it had better be something you're pleased with!

Bradley is cool, that's for sure, in all three outfits. I have always liked him. (And OH, jesus, Cucumis put out this doujin that makes me burst into tears like a baby every time I read it about Bradley and his wife. ;_; And I'm not a het fan OR that much of a manga/brotherhood fan, but she's just too good....ahem, whoops, back to the subject at hand)

Looking forward to seeing the update of what you end up with! (Not to be a shameless enabler of your FMA figure habit or anything....*whistles innocently* XD)

RIGHT. Some of those faces are just...no. What the fuck were you people on when you cast/painted these. Ugh. I mean, the worst ones tend to be USD20 or under, which is CHEAP for Ed, but STILL. I got my new Riza for under USD10, so... (To be fair, she was mislabelled... XD)

Ah~ I sort of wish there was a version of him in the blue uniform, mostly because I really like the formal version, and he's the only one who really wears it in the anime. (Save the funeral.) Although, I expect painting all the mini stars and his medals and such would be...less than fun.
Still, though. Plethora of swords. (Seriously, King, where the fuck do to strap that extra one? And how to you hide the lot under your uniform? Crazy fuck. XD) *insert Arakawa-san's omake about Bradley trying to ride the subway here*

XD The best part about the set with Olivier, is that it's also got Roy. Ed's never gonna catch up~
