Lol, lucky! I want Loki as my school's mascot! XD

Ahaha...yeah...I'm like that too...^^;; I've been infected with WIP syndrome...

OMG yes! A download! :D Now, if only I could have found one for the Avengers...So, how was Henry IV? I haven't gotten to see it yet :(

XD

I just need to stop getting bunnies. Need to remove their reproductive organs, sweat. XP

LOL. Give it a couple months, should be a number of them popping up as soon as it's out on DVD.
I was really good! I mean, you know, anything with Tom is good. But I've a terrible time with Shakespeare, but I actually kept up pretty well with this version – kept up pretty well with Richard II, too – which is always a good sign, for me.
Henry IV, part 2 is next Saturday. *excited*

Argh, damn plots! Heeerrrre bunny, niiiice bunny...oh, don't mind these surgical tools...you want that food right? Just step right up into that trap there... *maniacal grin*

*coughs* Ehem. Anyway. Yeah, I'll just have to wait for it...I found some links on a party post at ONTD about a month ago, but I was too late and they were all broken links! :(

Lol, of course, anything with Hiddles is worth seeing! XD But I'm glad to hear that it was good; I'll have to watch it soon! (download...go faaaaaster...) Eh, don't worry, Shakespeare only makes half sense to me too...so it's good to know that I'll be able to keep up (probably. hopefully.) Part 2...I can't wait! :D

LOLOLOLOLOL!!! *ded*

I found a torrent of it that someone taped in the theatre which wasn't too bad. I think I ended up deleting it, though, because I was going back to see Avengers in a couple days and it hardly mattered then.

This is true! He always makes the film/show better for me. Like, I sort of didn't like the main character in Deep Blue Sea, but I totally forgave everything for Tom. (That he cries so prettily only helps. XD)

:D

Oh well. I'll just wait until the DVD comes out...in the meantime, I can download that Henry IV link and watch that over, and over, and over...you can never have too much Hiddles acting...!

Lol, exactly! Hiddles crying? I...I must see this...

This is all too true. Also, excellent plan. I shall join you.

I posted a screen shot for it when I saw it. But, yeah, there's a couple scenes at the end of the film where he gets teary. (He cries in the first one, which I didn't capture, but he only gets teary eyes in the second scene.)

So...so pretties...*sniffles* It makes me sad toooooo~

But, what exactly is Deep Blue Sea about? I've never heard of it until I got obsessed interested in Tom Hiddleston.

IMDb is your friend? (It's certainly been my friend. ^.^")
Uhm... The main character is married to a judge, but is living with her affair/boyfriend (Tom). She tries to commit suicide, everyone finds out, things go poorly for her, and her boy leaves. In a nutshell.

Lol, I completely forgot about that site! *facepalm* Sorry! Thanks for summarizing it, though! :D

I can see why so many people say that they hated the main character. I can also see why everyone sympathized with Tom's character. Poor guy :(

Sometimes, I wonder why people make movies about the things that they make movies about...the stupid ones, the ones that simply aren't good, the ones that nobody would like to watch...It just makes me wonder why they would write it. Did they like the plot? I guess, since they wrote it...but, if nobody ever likes it when it comes out, how did they get so many people to make it in the first place? (and this is not necessarily about Deep Blue Sea) For example, I've heard a lot of people say that Magic Mike sucked, but it got so much hype before it came out, and I read an interview in a magazine and the actors seemed to genuinely believe that it was great. So...why is it not in the end? Or, another example, why do people continue to hire Kristen Stewart when she's such a bad actress? I don't see why they would want her to act in their movie...don't they want someone that acts good and that people like, if they plan to sell their movie?? Gah, sorry, long ramble there...just some musings that got out of hand...^^;;

LOL. S'ok. I'd forget about it more if I hadn't added it to my bookmark toolbar; I see it, like,l every time I go to type in a web address.

Mmmm... I can't explain it. I suppose it could be those people are just making it for the few that would be interested. Or it could be a shot of whatever life which the vast majority are necessarily good with, but sometimes... Like the cheaters of the world; they'd maybe empathise with the MC of Deep Blue Sea more than they would with Tom's character, because that's the position they've been in. I dunno. Sometimes, films are meant to show us a part of the world that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Least, that's what I think. (Sorry. Took two film classes in university; this is what I took away from them.)
I will admit I know nothing about Magic Mike – I am constantly about three years behind when it comes to pop culture – so I can't say one way or the other to that. Stewart... Erm, dunno. Pretty faces sell films just as much as good acting, I suppose. And she's popular with the younger generation of idiots for being in that bloody sparkly vampires bull-crap. Daniel Radcliffe has his moments with shite acting – he's a bit better than he used to be, I think; doing that theatre piece was good for him – but he's known, and his face sells the films even when his acting might not. (I'm sure there's another actor or two that I can cite, but I'm too tired to think right now. So.)

No, no, it's fine! I like hearing other peoples' opinions. Actually, I might take some film classes if I find the time this semester now that you mention it; it sounds interesting! :) It's true, the cheaters might sympathize with the main character, and I'm not bashing her for it or anything; I mean, shit happens, to put it ineloquently. And I'm glad that people make films that show us other, less commonly seen sides of the world because I'm quite naive about the workings of such (if that wasn't already obvious). I was really just curious, and rambling and possibly slightly sleep deprived,, and I thank you for answering/explaining/offering your opinion on the subject! :)

Lol, the only reason I'm really up to date on this stuff is because I've been checking lately; Avengers got me interested in movies once again. Ah yeah, I can understand how the popularity of the actor/actresses' face will sell the movie. Yes, Dan Rad wasn't really that great in The Woman in Black. It was more like watching Harry Potter and the Woman in Black, lol.

Good luck if you do take a film class. I absolutely hated my professor for the first one – he was really quite boring – but the second class was fun. Just, you know, don't go into a film class expecting you'll be watching films and little else, because there will be papers to write and possibly quizzes, etc. A couple of ladies failed out because they expected the film classes to be an easy A. (That was computer science 100. XD)
Oh, no, I see nothing wrong with bashing her. I see little wrong with calling it as you see it, and I'd think a cheater is shameful and likely deserves much of what wrong is done upon them. (Anyway, I thought that MC a bit of a useless fool. I have little patience with weak characters, especially when they're women. I mean, she essentially attempted suicide because Tom's character missed her birthday. Jeebus.)
I do agree, though. It's nice for a look into others' lives and heads. (And, oh, I'm a terrible person; don't take anything I say to heart. XD) Sleep deprivation is a fantastic excuse. ;)

I watched a number of superhero films – the prequels to Avengers, Green Lantern, the X-Men films – and near about everything Tom's done, but I'm otherwise still in the dark about popular culture. Some of the tumblrs I follow occasionally put out pictures with a number of popular people and I can usually recognise about two out of six, and that's only because I'm up to date on Sherlock and Doctor Who. And, you know, Avengers. American popular actors/actresses tend to be beyond me.
I haven't actually watched The Woman in Black. Don't know anything about it, really, other than that Radcliffe was in it and what the posters looked like. (See? Ridiculously behind.)

Thanks for the advice! I'll be careful, if I do choose to take one. Me too! I can't stand it when characters are weak! I think it's mainly because that's not something I want to read about. You know, I like reading about strong characters that are badass. Badass is fun. Also, I'm an escapist; reading is my escape from reality, so I like it when characters are practically perfect. Sometimes. I'll always read just about anything, but I hate characters that are weak, because I can't relate to their choices. (But now I kind of feel like a hypocrite...have I written any stories where the characters came off as weak? *goes back to check*)

Yeah, I love knowing how people think; if I could read minds, it would be great (Twilight much? Yech)!

I've never really gotten into the superhero films, not until Avengers at least. I just went and saw the new Spiderman and liked it, too! I wouldn't have gone to see it in theaters (probably) if I hadn't been on such a superhero high recently. I do love Iron Man though. But I never saw any of the Batmans or Green Lantern, or X-Men (Actually, I saw Wolverine, but that's it). I don't watch any TV shows, so I never got into the BBC Sherlock (although I really want to) or Doctor Who. I don't even know what it's about. The Woman in Black was a horror movie with a lot of suspense and the only horror movie I ever saw and the only one I will ever see. Yeap, definitely not for me. Talk about sleep deprivation that week.

I'm a bit terrible, though, in that I'm good with writing weak characters so I might make them stronger. Which, I suppose, is the best kind of character, for you can watch their progression and you can sort of become stronger with them. Or sommat.

Oh, yeah, super power of reading minds would be brilliant. Must cultivate that skill. XD
I find psychology to be an excellent way of learning people's minds. I'm quite fond of it. (Should have majored in it in university. Ah, hind sight and such.)

Well, my father's always been a huge superhero nerd, so I grew up with them a bit. I've seen most of the Superman films, one of the X-Men films, and a couple Batman films because of him. Then we weren't talking for a great many years and it's only in the past year or so that I've the interest in speaking with him again. And, of course, the first big father-daughter outing we go on is to Avengers. And then he handed over all the rest that I've recently watched. So, yeah, this is all his fault.
Doctor Who's his fault a bit, too. We sometimes watched the original Doctor Who when I was a child, and so I fell right back into it, once [livejournal.com profile] tsuki_no_suzu gave me the series because I was bored. (It's about a time-travelling alien with a penchant for saving Earth and picking up humans to travel with for some time.)
Oh, I don't watch TV, but I hunt down shows that some of my friends recommend and watch them online. More the pity, most of my friends tend towards the lesser known popular culture. Well, lesser known or British. XD
Mmmm... Is it a horror film? Well, I won't be seeing that. Ever. XP

Date: 11/7/12 03:08 (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lovegingers.livejournal.com
Yes, I do like to see them get stronger. I guess, it really just depends on the situation. Sorry, I'm so picky...

Psychology is very interesting! I considered majoring in it, but I wouldn't know what job to do with the degree...

Mmm, my dad likes the superhero movies too, but he never actually went to see them or took me to see them; it's more like, he went to it only if I took him with me. My sister is the one that's always calling me and saying "We need to go see that!!". Oooookay. A time traveling alien...with a penchant for saving Earth and...okay...well, it seems...fun. Really, I would probably like it! How many seasons does it have? How many do I need to catch up on? Watching it online is probably my best bet. I tried it once, but got too lazy to hunt down a good site :P I have a friend that watches British shows, and we both had a high school teacher that watched them too. It was funny because he would always talk fangirl about the shows in class with her. XD Haha, yeah, don't watch it. I only went to see it because my friend wanted to and I convinced myself (stupidly) that I should at least try it and see for sure if I really can't do horror movies. Not my best idea.

Picky is fine. Be picky.

Ahahah... The problem with majoring in psychology is, of course, that you rather have to have a masters and/or doctorate to actually do anything with the degree. And I don't have the wallet patience for that much extra schooling. But, you know, it might be interesting to be a therapist. Listen to people's problems all day. XD

My dad likes his film collection; he's quite proud of it, always has been. So it used to be that we'd watch things once they were out, but he's in a bit of a better place, financially, hence the going to see Avengers in cinema. (That, and it was part of his birthday present to himself. *eye roll*)
The current Doctor Who – the 2005 series, they're calling it, because it sort of continues on from the original, but you don't need to watch the original to get it – is, I believe, about to start its seventh season this September.
I usually do peer-to-peer/torrent downloads of things; my sister's always gone the Netflix route. I think torrents are easier and then you can keep the episodes for later, but it's a bit illegal, so there's a danger in going that route. (There's a danger in going any route, really, unless you're shelling out the cash. Love this world.)

Date: 11/7/12 04:19 (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lovegingers.livejournal.com
Ah, yes...I don't have the money or patience for all of that schooling either...oh well, it would be fun to be a therapist, though! :D

Oh...the seventh season...riiight, gotta catch up on a lot then not like I'm doing anything else better with my time. *cough*tumblr*cough* I'll probably use torrent downloads. I tried Netflix once, but I didn't like it.
