Totally agree with you. You know how it is to receive PM on that when you think that it is an answer for an review. But you didn't taalk about the number of false chapter about the petition. I understand why they do that but when you have a lot of new cchaptr who are on the petion, it becomes annying.
FFN is not my fav site. I go because it can have a lot of story and i cn read it without fearing that a lot of people are on . For me, an author must put their fic on several site.
I will be the devil but i can understnd the do that. They don't want people to sue them. I'm curious about what people will react at what i said.

I didn't know anything about the petition, honestly. I'm so far removed from most of the fanfiction world right now that I had to go searching for why I was getting panicked PMs/reviews. And then I figured it out and was just like, 'Guys... *sigh*'

But, yeah. I only use FFN because that's where most people post. I much prefer AO3, all things considered.

Lucky you! Sigh! It's not like it's th end of the world. Internet won't end because of that! And there are another site where you can put fanfic or you can do a site.
But yes, a lot of people post of FFN. I think that it's not a good move what they do now. They lose people and it's not good. I like AO3 too (it's pretty but i find the Harry potter slash fandom no big ( i don't like the Harry/draco ).

I hate this shit about FFN! They're all freaking out about it, but none of my stories have been taken down yet. I've gotten messages about how "some authors lost their stories for good". What? You mean you don't even have the stories saved on your computer? Come on!

And everyone was aware of the policy on mature fics. I was (and still am) waiting for FFN to take my stories down because they go against the policy. Yes, I think that FFN should have added an MA rating or something of the sort, but there is no need to send all of these stupid messages and make a petition simply because the site decided to actually enforce its rules for once. And even if FFN doesn't ever add an MA rating, that's what AFF and other sites are for. FFN is not the only place to post stories out there...

Anyway, I completely agree. I think that everyone is over-exaggerating this. (however, I did take advantage of the craziness to receive an invite to AO3, :P)

Thing is, FFN used to have an MA rating, ages and ages ago. But then they changed management and did away with it.

But, yeah. The people freaking out are kind of amusing, though a bit of a headache. XP

Ah, I didn't know that! Now I understand why so many authors are comfortable writing MA material on the site even though there is no rating that high, because they were used to it before. Well, thank you for telling me that!
