That was one of the best things about my stint doing living history: the cell phones, Led Zeppelin tunesbeing softly strummed on a guitar at night, dressed in full corset-and-crinoline and walking arm-in-arm with a similarly-attired gal while sharing a cigar, the Confederate army marching to the cadence of "There she was just a-walkin' down the street, singin' do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do ... " And they way my pervy friends could always insert innuendo into polite Victorian conversation. For instance, when an oil lamp kept going out in a breeze: "That wick is flacid." "You should rub some oil around the base." "It definitely needs more lubrication." "Perhaps you need to roll it a bit in your fingers."
